It’s officially the end of summer and autumn’s chill has made it’s sudden appearance. Somehow it catches me by surprise every year, and I’m never quite ready for the return to shorter days and frosty mornings. While it isn’t quite cold enough to pull out the heavy winter gear, it’s definitely time to add an extra layer or two. My favorite fall outfits always include a tall pair of boots, an oversized sweater and some of my cozy fall crochet accessories.

This versatile cowl pattern works up super quickly and is great for showing off a beautiful variegated colourway, or for using up those small leftover skeins! Make it longer to be able to loop it around your neck twice for extra warmth, or make it into a scarf with some oversized tassels or a thick fringe!

1 skein Red Heart Unforgettable (I used Dragonfly)

1 skein Caron Simply soft in Grey
